Glorious Goodwood was the big festival in July, and just like at Royal Ascot the month before, we made an impact with just one runner, as Naana’s Sparkle took glory in a valuable 5f handicap on the Thursday of the fixture.
Naana’s Sparkle has been progressing nicely this year, the three-year-old winning his second race of the season. Charlie Bishop was a late replacement with Rowan Scott unfortunately unable to make the meeting due to plane troubles, but he got a lovely tune out of Naana’s Sparkle on slow ground, winning by a length. Hopefully Naana’s Sparkle can keep progressing and find another nice pot or two before the end of the year.
We recently launched the Kremlin Cottage Racing Club syndicate, and it couldn’t have got off to a much better start when Capuchinero popped up at 33-1 at Kempton. Members of the syndicate are not only involved in Capuchinero, but also fellow stable favourite Mashaan, who is in good form too, placing at Salisbury and Lingfield recently. For more information on how to become part of the syndicate, email michelle.kremlincottageracingclub@outlook.com.
As the season is progressing, we are also starting to unleash some more of our juveniles, and there has been plenty of encouragement on track, led by Sudbury Hill, who left his debut well behind to score at Newcastle. There will be plenty more two-year-olds hitting the track in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled!
Finally, our stable star Cairo begins his US mission on Saturday, August 9 at Colonial Downs in the Grade 1 Arlington Million. He has taken the trip brilliantly and everything looks to be in place for another big run. Here’s hoping he can bag a famous Stateside win!
