Solvency rewards patience at Hamilton

Relief was probably the main emotion felt by all of us at Machell Place as Solvency crossed the line comfortably clear on his belated debut at Hamilton!

It was very much a delayed start to his career after he’d shown so much promise at home in the spring, and the patience shown by everyone involved was rewarded with a clear-cut success despite him and Hollie Doyle needing to overcome consistent trouble in running to get the job done.

The expectation was that he would be going close based on what he was showing at home, but to win having had very little go his way was very pleasing, even more so for his owner Michelle Connolly who was experiencing the first ever winner in her colours. He could be pitched straight in at Listed level in France next, and we would be very hopeful that this just scratches the surface of his ability.
